Jim Zorn, the
Washington Redskins' rookie head coach, figured his starters would have a clunker at some point in their five-game preseason.
Sure enough, after two sharp performances, the first-team offense struggled in Saturday's 13-10 victory over the
New York Jets at
Giants Stadium.
"I don't think anybody felt spoiled that we had won our first two games and [said], 'Here we are on top of the winners' podium,' " Zorn said in a news conference yesterday at
Redskins Park. "I think we all had the idea that this was a different defense [a 3-4 defense], a different scheme and a different philosophy."
