Respectfully, I disagree. I'm in the same boat you are as far as autographs are concerned. I could care less if I have the dude's name written on piece of paper or photograph - like you I'd rather a handshake and conversation. But this shows his arrogance and lack of humility. I know he's still young, and hopefully he'll learn to respect and appreciate the fans as time goes on.

I'll say that his on-field reliability IS all that matters to the Redskins as far as wins and losses. But it's not all that SHOULD matter. Missing an autograph event(s) isn't against the law or against team or league rules. But it lets down fans, most of whom are little kids. It's a shame that guys have the arrogance to think they are too good for the rabid fan base that ultimately helps them get so rich in the first place. Maybe his absurd athletic ability outweighed his iffy "character" when Gibbs was evaluating him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm THRILLED Landry is a Redskin. I just hope he gets his head out of the clouds.
