Merling, I believe, only did 17 reps. Thats not good, especially for someone his size. Same goes for Campbell. I think for the 1st round we need to go for production and athletic ability with our pick. Groves can come off the edge on passing downs and even play OLB for us and be a play maker in the passing game. Having him would come in handy if Rocky's play suffers because of lingering injury issues.
He didn't have a bad combine either. Fastest 40 for a DE 4.57, 10 foot broad jump, and 30 reps. His production at AU was superior despite sharing time earlier on in his career.
Groves' athleticism, explosiveness, strength, and versatility would be a great all around addition for us in the 1st round.

2008 NFL Scouting Combine Stats: Defensive Line
Merling's fine, according to Football's Future, Merling put up 23 reps. Which is not great, but not bad either. My favorite part about him right now is he compares to Justin Tuck. Of course the same source compared Calias Campbell to Julius Peppers so I don't know how reliable that is.
However the big selling point for me right now is this.
When you play Madden, what team do you use? Do you put yourself on the team? Don't play Madden.
