Re: (updated title): Make Your Day One Redskins Draft Selections (Rounds 1-2)

Alright slightly new mock for Dirtbag359. To me this class gives us two starters and one potential starter that will definatly be a contributer in his first year.

1st - Calias Campbell - Phillip is 35 years old and Campbell has the size to play the left end. Also knows what it feels like to have a 10 sack season and is probably hungry to regain that form after a senior campaign where he only managed 6.5 sacks. Theoretically could move inside in nickle and dime packages and allow Campbell/Washington to rush opposite Andre Carter. Probably is a top 15 pick if hes allowed to come out last year.

2nd - Roy Schuning - would love it if Branden Albert fell to us but thats doubtful. This pick is a slight reach but he's the second best guard and he has an attitude that Joe Bugel loves. Played last year with running pneumonia, lost 18 pounds and never missed a snap. Has experience as a high school wrester and looks like a bigger version of Chris Cooley. Also played some tackle during his colleigate career.

3rd - Dre Moore - Has the potential to be an inside pass rusher due to his combination of size, speed, and quickness. Gets in the backfield and with proper coaching could turn into a solid starter. Had six sacks as a senior, the most since Shawn Meriman. Local product from University of Maryland that could be inspired playing for his hometown team, granted the Redskins are his hometown team.

Additonal notes: Wouldn't mind a guy like Kenwaan Balmber in the First Round but the draft is deep at pass rushing DT's and the quality LE's will be gone after the first round, in fact the next LE that can play both pass and run after Campbell/Merling is Kendall Langford who only was 4.5 sacks at Hampton.

Also with DJ hacket and Drayton Florance we'll be fine at corner and reciever, not great, but fine. Plus WR's in the draft are a crapshoot, ask the Raiders who have used the past few years drafting countless Recievers. Hasselback has also done great without a CJ/Randy Moss type. And for anyone that forgot the team with the great unit upfront beat the great Recieving core. We also got sent home from the playoffs early thanks in large part to Patrick Kerney.

Also I feel like the time to start rebuilding the OL is now. We suffered last year from not having quality depth and the OL is a huge reason why the team has been competitive in recent years. Plus three of our main starters are in their 30's.

Sorry SkinsFan91. I know Jordy Nelson is the sexy pic, but having the right guys in the trenches allows you to get away with a lot more then you would be able to otherwise.
