He didn't need to come back and put his legacy on the line for the Redskins. He was doing quite well in NASCAR, and he has a bust in Canton. He didn't come back for a paycheck, that's for damn sure.
I believe he will sign a 2 year extension after this season and he will continue working his ass off trying to get this ship back on course.

The lack of fire in his eyes is not a comment on his passion for coaching the skins and determination to turn us into a perennial winner. I don't doubt that he's still all about the latter two. Its about the confidence (without the arrogance) that he can accomplish what he wants to.
Perhaps "fire in the eyes" is not the best term for what I'm describing. That confidence in his eyes which he had the first go around has disappeared
