Smootsmack you must be a little younger then me. Marv LEvy was the 1st special teams coach for the redskins in 1971 under George Allen. Which makes him also the 1st in the NFL. This particular staff went on to become quite famous. Mike McCormick who built the Seahawks and the CArolina Panthers and was also Head Coach of the Colts and Eagles. (NEighbor of Mine Growing Up), Charley Winter (Weeb Eubanks Son-Inlaw), Ted MArchibroda famous Colts coach, Boyd Dowler (Packers Pro Bowl Reciever) and someone not so famous in the NFL but a huge part of the Redskin history is Lavar "Torgy" Torgenson, one of the best all time defensive line coaches.
George Allen allways took credit for all of those punts we used to block but MArv was the archetict of those great special teams. Boy when was the last time we had at least 2 punts blocked in a season?
