8-8/9-7, with a bumpy start as the O takes time to gell. We play meaningful games in December, but fall short of the wildcard.

Anything above 8-8 is a big success, given where we were last year and the big turnover in coaches and players. Plus, it will take some time for Gibbs and the old time brain trust to really figure it out. But when they do, I figure they will come up with some great plays to exploit the all-blitz, all-the-time defenses of today's NFL. Remember: Gibbs was 8-8 last time in his first year, and we know what happened next!

Gardner: our new Monk?
Look for Chad on third downs.
Will Cooley get in the mix?
Washington, Barrow, and Arrington: the real deal.
Taylor: Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate.
Brunell is the starter, mainly because of his veteran leadership. Watch how he talks to his teammates when he is on the field. Ramsey only if Brunell is hurt. No Tim.
No Name D-line does its job.
O-line is fine without Jansen; O-line is fantastic when he returns next year to lead us back to glory.
