A chimp could coach Notre Dame to a great season. I'm not taking away from Holtz, but he wouldn't have been much better than Spurrier. Some coaches are just better on the college level. Bobby Ross was another example.

We could have had Holtz? Are you kidding me? The guy was a disaster in the NFL, he's a product of his ability to recruit that's it, he needs a premium college job where everyone wants to play to be effective.
