I'd say there is cause for concern. Most of our backups looked pretty lost out there, and that's on top of the fact that there were plenty of injuries.
Obviously the Portis thing worries me quite a bit even if he doesn't need surgery. I feel like a shoulder injury is something that can can hamper him all season long. He may be more hesitant to take the hit and it may be more likely that he fumbles if he's holding the ball with his left.
Also, Brunell worried me a bit because his throws were off by a good bit. The nice pass that Lloyd made could have goen for a TD if it wasn't so far over his head. Brunell also missed Lloyd long later in the game. And then there was the INT. I still say Brunell was trying to throw the ball away.
I'm also concerned b/c I just got royally screwed out of my tickets for the first game. Can anybody help me out here?
