I figure sooner or later the dead money will hurt us... not as in ruining the team, but it does give you less overall money to work with and cause further creative accounting... I haven't really studied it though, so honestly I can't have an informed opinion.

I think the pats brought in an insane number for summer work and minicamps though... 30+ undrafted guys... even if you cut them, you have a general idea who you could call up from taco bell if things really hit the fan (like hasslebeck).
