Meet Todd Collins

Todd Collins

Scouts Inc. Profile

Quote:
Collins is an 11 year veteran and he has been with Kansas City as their backup QB for the last 8 years. He is 34 years old and he is on the downhill side of his career. He does not get a great deal of playing time because Trent Green is a durable starter. He is has good size, he is a pocket passer and he has good overall arm strength. He is smart, he has a good working knowledge of the offense and he can get you out of a game over a short period of time. He throws a very catchable ball, he has good accuracy and he has good zip and velocity on deep outs. However, Collins lacks good pocket presence for a veteran QB. He struggle with reading the blitz, he makes poor decisions and he does not have the foot speed, quickness and mobility to buy himself a second chance against the heavy rush. Defenses just tee off when he is in the game and he takes a lot of sacks. Overall, Collins does not have a lot of upside to him at this point in his career. He just does not bring a lot to the table.
Career Stats

Other than 1997 (2367 yards, 12 TDs, 13 INTS) not much worth noting

**notice the pic above, he's playing the Redskins!
