Deion Sanders, Jeff George, Stephen Davis, Jeremiah Trotter, Laverneus Coles... any of those names ring a bell? Snyder could care less about dead cap money, especially when he's being called out by a player on his team.
So yes, LaVar will be gone after this season, and everyone will turn on him for wanting out of possibly the worst run team in the league(I'm talking about the front office, not the coaching staff), just like we turned on Champ Bailey, Fred Smoot, Antonio Pierce, and every other standout player who has left for valid reasons. And five years down the road, when the same thing has happened to Brunell, and probably Portis and Taylor, I'm sure we'll all have turned on them by then too. That's just the way we do it in Washington.

LaVar's timing couldn't have been worse, but that's water under the bridge now. Having said that, I agree with your assessment 100%. There's something very, very wrong with an organization where so many standout players have left angry and bitter at the club. When I say "organization", I'm not talking about the coaches. There's only been one constant during all these years of upheaval and loss of good players and that constant is the ownership of the team by Dan Snyder and the day-to-day running of things by his incompetent sycophants.
Again, I don't believe it was right for LaVar to air his discontent at this point in time. It can only hurt the team right now. But, it's very obvious that he is extremely frustrated, just as it was obvious for Champ, Antonio, Smoot and countless other exceptional players who left here in bitterness.
When Cooke owned the team, he was greatly respected, and even loved, by many of the players. I can't think of one player current or past who feels the same way about Snyder.
I feel bad for Joe because he's caught in the middle. He is paid by Snyder and, of course, has to remain loyal to the man. Yet, there's a part of me that believes Joe hates to lose good players and is troubled by the mismanagement of this team by Snyder and his cronies.
