I'm very anti-more government, laws, etc.

But man, wouldn't it be so much better if parties simply weren't allowed to donate money to candidates in another party?

This is stealing money from voters imo. If I donated to a republican candidate, I would be pretty pissed off to find out some of my money went to support some democrat I would very likely not support.
