Comparing the fumbles of a receiver who gets five to ten touches a game to a starting tailback(20-30 touches) and a quarterback(50-70 touches) is apples and oranges.

And I'm not buying the scapegoat angle, because he was cut after a win. Besides, our god-like coach would never turn a player into a scapegoat. Drops and fumbles = "useless" if you're a wide receiver. Who cares if you're fast and run good routes if you can't hold onto the ball?
