It seems to me we are getting a guy who won't make nearly as many mistakes, but also won't account for nearly as many td's either. And Brady aside, most qb's don't get better as they pass their mid 30's. I'm hoping we get a solid 3 year run out of him, and hopefully by then we will have figured out how to find and keep a young qb who is good enough to lead this team deep in the playoffs.

Again stats don't lie but they aren't everything all the time. Smith has always ranked in the top on 3rd downs and completion %. He's also super smart with the football and will throw it away instead of eating up sacks.
