It's not a big deal for the average joe to go through that, and yes you are right about most people not caring, but I think it becomes different when you are in the public eye / face of a team / company / whatever.
Personal scandals ruin TV / public people all the time. Shit could come out on RG3 sort of like the Tiger Woods situation. And it would be a distraction, and at the end of the day the Browns don't need to deal with that shit when they are trying to rebuild and win the fans over yet again, etc...
