Hijinx, Schneed happens to be right on this matter, but don't let his tone or attack bother you. It's just his style.
We're all fans here guys. No need for the hating. 
Kirk can continue to negotiate with the team on a long term deal, just not anybody else at this point. (the moment he signs that is)
