I don't think you were alone in favoring Hicks over Davis back in '98.

I'll admit I thought Hicks was the more dynamic runner. Davis pretty much came out of nowhere. I know he had a good college career, but before '98 he was pretty average anytime he got into a game. Playing at FB the season before helped him learn how to play with more power and the rest is history.
