This regular season defensively we were 17th best in pts/game. 28th best in yds/game. Better than it looks on the field, but not terrible. Still seemed to me like we got shredded anytime we played a good offense.
Lovie Smith's track record really hasn't been as good the past several years as I thought it was, but we really could use a better defense.
I think we need a better defensive coordinator, like a Wade Phillips or Rex Ryan. I understand we will have to go with someone who isn't established, who can develop into a Wade Philips. I just don't think Joe Barry is our guy. |
At this point I would just move Perry Fewell to DC if they decided they needed a change. But I very much doubt any of the staff will change unless they are hired away.
