Per an ESPN Insider's article in regards to Manning. Manning pulling a RG3 on the team.

Peyton lied to the Broncos about the extent of his injury, suggesting it was only "sore," but seeking treatment outside of the facility. Then he said he was ready to go on Sunday when he should have taken himself out. This, coupled with how hurt he actually was at the end of last year has upset some folks within the organization about Peyton's perceived selfishness.

And now, whether it's injury or performance, the Broncos are in the perfect position to see what they have in Osweiler, and be patient in choosing who's genuinely going to give them the best chance to win, without thought to whether Peyton has earned the benefit of the doubt if he says he's ready to go.

If Peyton sees the field again, it will only be because he really is healthy and really is performing better than Brock. That's a win-win for the Broncos—possibly not so much for Peyton Manning.
