Re: Noble placed on Injured Reserve

looks like this is the end for noble, here's a recent journal by him at www.nflplayers.com

After my recent knee surgery last week I’m feeling better. Bone bruises are pretty tricky. It feels good for awhile, but when I put pressure on it, it begins to act up again. It’s a tough thing to come back from. I’ve had 4 surgeries in 3 years. I was well on my way to retirement already, and it’s probably where I will head after this season. I’d rather have a future with my family and spend time playing with my kids. The Redskins and I have talked about it, and they’ve offered to keep the door open if I want to come back. I could possibly start helping with the D-Line and see how I like that. It’ll be something that will keep me involved. When players go on injured reserve, sometimes they just disappear. They like keeping guys around and in the building. I’m still thinking about retiring, I’m really weighing the options.

Coaching is something I’d like to do eventually. You get so much football while you’re playing, and it takes such a toll on your body that you need a break to get away sometimes. I’m going to have the whole year to sit around so I figured I might as well go work and help where I can. My future plans are to be able to spend time with my kids. I’d like to be an active father. I’ve been on crutches a lot. I have two kids with another on the way. When you’re in a situation like this, your priorities change a bit. At least mine have.

he's earned my respect, hopefully he comes back as a coach or something like that, i really liked him.
