Even though building a new stadium is usually a drain on cities, especially in this economy, it will be nice to see the 49ers playing in the new stadium. Though to be fair Candlestick Park seemed to be near the end of its rope.
Right now the new Falcons stadium is kind of a touchy issue in Atlanta especially since its replacing the Georgia Dome which critics say was hastily built in 1992 because there was a rush to build a domed stadium with minimal thought given to aesthetics. Granted the
new stadiums concept art really looks incredible but the city isn't nearly as wealthy as it was in the late 90's coming off the olympics and benefitting from a mass influx of wealthy new residents.
