While we're talking about technology things, here's a really great app I've made part of the standard install for faculty/staff/students where I work:
Xmarks | Bookmark Sync and Search
Just a cloud based solution for favorites across browsers. SO nice when I've reformatted a computer and I'm like, "Aw shit. Forgot to back up favorites." Also awesome because when I'm screwing around at work and am bookmarking stuff for home.
