They have about eleven starters carrying injuries, we have an advantage in Running backs, Receivers, Defensive line, Linebackers, Secondary, Special teams, Depth and Coaching, yet they still have the advantage with the Donkeys? Anyone care to explian the logic to me? |

What? Whos hurt?

Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
Home field advantage. That mile high atmosphere makes visiting teams really tired in the second half.

Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
No idea, it just says that in the initial blurb. It also says that the defennsive reserves stepped up against the Jags.

Under The Redskins Team Report It Says That Walt Harris Might Not Get His Starting Job Back. Do We Really Think Carlos Is Ready?

Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
the only advantage to denver is pass rush and QB...wow, and in the first line, it says plummer is inconsistent. hopefully portis can get going, i think he's got some extra motivation for this one

Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
Carlos played pretty damn well in my opinion.
However, Denver's run D sounds nasty. They've faced Ronnie Brown (rookie), Priest Holmes, and LaDanian Tomlinson. They give up an avg of 86 YPG and .6TDs rushing per game. That's going to be tough to run on. |
Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
rodgers looked a bit like a rookie, at this point harri is still the #2, and carlos is a good #3 until he gets more time in.

Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
Okay. I sent an e-mail to the knuckleheads at TSN asking them if they ultimately used a dartboard to make picks.
I'll post their answer if they give me one. |
Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
Running backs: While our running back is BETTER, their run blocking and scheme is time tested and proven. I think when it comes to running backs, we win, but we all know talent doesn't win anything. Their line can openup more holes.
Receivers: While Santana Moss has been a pleasent suprise production wise, I still would take Lellie and Smith over Moss and Patten, Watts is also a VERY good 3rd WR, he could cause some real matchup problems on our nickle. Defensive line: They have a lot of high round draft picks moving in and out of the lineup here. They're rotating them around and they got a good push on the QB last week. Ours are more suited to the run than the pass-rush, I consider the lines about equal, maybe a slight edge to Denver simply because of depth. Linebackers: We win this, but not by a lot. Marcus Washington is our stud in this position. LeMarr Marshall is solid, as is Holdman. DJ Williams and Ian Gold are pretty solid NFL linebackers. They have some speed. That's why I think we're going to try to go up the middle a lot this game, I think their LBs might be able to hurt an outside running game. Secondary: I agree wholly on this, our secondary is far and away better, especially if Bailey and their other starting corner don't play. Even if Bailey plays he gets beat like a rented mule as of late. Special teams: Don't know much about Denver special teams, but I've been somewhat disappointed in ours this year. Depth: In most positions we have them beat, but I don't think all positions. Dline is the perfect example, WR I think they have more valid threats. They have more RBs too. Coaching: I agree, Shenehan and his system (O line and that running game) have done well, but I think we have a better coaching staff. This game comes down to playcalling, hopefully we can call it like either: the first 2.5 quarters w/ seattle, or the last 4 minutes at Dallas! |
Re: Sporting News - Scout Report
We will play action pass to set up the run.
