Practice Squad Posted:

Jonathan Alston, OL
Jonathan Combs, RB
Robert Johnson, TE
Aki Jones, DL
Robert McCune, LB
Christian Morton, CB
Rich Parson, WR
I'm surprised again wilds didn't make it... i mean, combs fumbled and had a terrible game getting him cut at the first deadline in addition to being the #5 RB who isn't likely to see much time.

Alston plays G and T, surprised he made it (UD) and wilson didn't... i like morton as a PS CB... he played in the NFC championship game last year due to others getting injured....

Johnson is a TE that's played with campbell at auburn, and the parson pick makes sense in case brown gets hurt and the team doesn't want to throw a valuable player into such an injury prone position.

i'm suprised to not see two names on there, garnell wilds and jimmy farris. i'm glad we kept McCune though, he might be a good player if he can continue to develop.

farris has been injured a bit the last two years, so he might not be able to be on a practice squad anymore. I don't really know his situation...

It kinda sucks that we don't have enough rejected talent to even fill up our squad... maybe they're waiting on another team's player...

Re: Practice Squad Posted:

I thought Garnell Wilds played well enough last season and during pre-season to warrant a spot on PS.

Re: Practice Squad Posted:

I think what happened to a couple of the notables that we would expect to see here is, per an earlier post on PS eligibility, some guys were not eligible. i.e Warner, and perhaps Farris

Re: Practice Squad Posted:

Farris is a veteran who is not eligible for the practice squad. I thought he would be more valuable as a WR/KR than Brown. Robert Johnson looked good in limited preseason action. I'm not sure why coaches are in love with Combs and I thought Molinaro and not Wilson was getting beat every down in last week's game. I imagine Morton in the revolving DB door. Greg Williams is still evaluating talent there. Uh. Is Zack Keasey still on the active roster? Many of you guys predicted Nemo and Cartwright would make the final cut too. :oink:

Keasy made the team.

I wonder if the Johnson (Auburn) choice had anything, directly, to do with Campbell being on the team and Gibbs just looking down the road a bit?

Re: Practice Squad Posted:

If I'm counting right, That Guy posted seven players. A practice squad has eight players.

So did you forget to list someone or is there still a spot open?

mooby 09-04-2005 05:49 PM

Re: Practice Squad Posted:

there's a spot open, i read it on the skins site.

No Wilson? Was he eligible? Kinda surprised about that. His stock really fell fast...

I also saw Molinaro getting made a bitch in the last game. Very strange indeed...

molinaro plays teams and played DT last year... still, we got a lot of good teamers and 5 DTs... wilson can join the PS, he's only had one season and only played in two games...

I'm pretty sure Farris wasn't eligible. Played 16 games in 2003.
