I heard that Sammy Baugh held an NFL record for most yards (net/gross?) per punt for a long time. Does anyone know anything about that record?

I see our adoration falling on deaf ears here about getting Sling'in Sammy Baugh his rightful place in our Avatar choices. Maybe I'll need to start an iPetition for Sammy's induction to the WP Hall of Avatars.
