They should be close to $63 million in cap space now. And there are likely cuts coming that should add $10 million or more. The Redskins are at the crossroads, if they make good moves they should be an NFC champion contenders.... if not, mediocrity for a decade

They forgot about the impact of moving a player back into the top 51.

Kory himself saves us $3.5M, but the rule is during the offseason you have to count the top 51 contracts on your roster as your cap number. When you remove a guy from the top 51, someone has to go in his spot. A minimum salary type guy.

So Kory saves us $3.5, but we use $0.5 of it on a min salary player moving into our top 51 to replace him.

It's alright. They're journalists. Accounting and financial analysis isn't their strong suit.

On the flip side I probably couldn't write three articles a day without letting a fucking cuss word slip in there. We all have our strengths.
