Last week's game really was as close to a must win to keep the season from blowing up. This week's game isn't a must win for the division, but it isn't too far from it either.

If the Skins can somehow prevent big plays from Sproles/McCoy, then we should win.

Gotta keep the defense fresh, and the team needs to avoid penalties.

Go Skins!

Hopefully lots of Morris, Helu, and Redd. Like someone pointed out in another thread, their run defense is ranked fairly low even though they haven't faced any good running games yet. Morris should have a huge day.

They REALLY have a weak WR corps. Maclin and Riley really don't scare anyone. Get just a bit of pressure on Foles and he'll crumble. Like EVERY TIME WE PLAY PHILLY, we need to stop the run. That's it and that's all.

Let's be honest, we've not faced good offenses in our first two weeks so the defense has looked pretty damn good. Foles, Sproles, and McCoy will hurt us if we give them the chance. This game is all about controlling time of possession and minimizing turnovers. That sounds trite but there is no way we win if Foles gets time to engineer drives. That offense is too good. Pound the ball with Morris and Helu (200 + yards on the ground) and control the clock

Djax is a go per Curt Russell on twitter
@Russellmania980: As just reported on @ESPNRadio980 & @RedskinsRadio - #Redskins are planning on having DeSean Jackson up & Santana Moss inactive. For now.

The Pigeons OL is weak on the right side. If we are to win, we need Kerrigan to have another big day.

Foles and their offense isn't about engineering drives (that more describes us), they need the big plays to make their offense go. Part of why they do better in the second half, defenses are a split second slower, and they can have fresher legs out of Sproles and McCoy.

Put it this way, the Eagles had 23 minutes TOP last week and still won. That wasn't due to sustained drives, but because of 3 or 4 gash plays. I firmly believe that if Foles is forced to make 12-14 play drives, we win this going away.

The rookies Grant and Redd shine, Keenan Robinson has a huge game along with D. Skins win.

From Rich Tandler

There is some concern about Lichtensteiger (groin) being able to play. He’s working on some lateral moves on the far end of the field.

Yeah, good points. To refine my previous point, we've really been hurt by giving up 1 or 2 big plays. Hopefully, the removal of Rambo will alleviate that somewhat.

I guess the contingency plan would be to put Chester at center and bring long at guard?

@richtandlercsn RG3 did not make the trip to Philly with the #Redskins. Assume it was better for him to continue his rehab at home/Redskins Park.
