Pick 142 Ryan Grant
How is it fair that Seastrunk gets his own thread before this dude? Discuss Grant here.
My question is: "What does this move mean for our current WR corps?" |
Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
^Seastrunk is the better player, and I don't think it means much of anything right now.

Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
I don't see how Seastrunk, other than his name, is better than a guy who had 75+ catches, 1,100 + yards each of the last two years. Grant I think can contribute.

Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
Hey, he's got some legit hands. Although it's definitely a crowded group ahead of him.
Robinson, Hankerson, Gettis, Williams? You've got a rookie with great hands breathing down your neck; step up or face the consequences. |
Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
Good hands and solid route running. Just not the burner speed. He may develop into a good #4 or possession receiver in our corp. he has potential to beat out the best of the rest of our WRs in a year or two.

Averaging 8-9 yards a carry will do that, I think Grant can contribute, but I think Seastrunk is the better player right now, just plays a devalued position. |
Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
I guess I am just splitting hairs ... Not like we really needed another WR either lol

Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
Ryan Grant can clearly play, but he's more of a quiet production guy than a physical marvel, and it is not clear to me where he fits in the receiver rotation on this team. He may very well end up being a better option than Andre Roberts down the road, but then you have all this money invested in Andre Roberts.

So u can't draft a guy with similar skill set to Andre Roberts? All this money, I don't think Roberts contract restricts our ability to pay anybody |
Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
Pay or play anybody. Andre will beat out Grabt anyway this year, but who knows if he can challenge in two or three

Quiet production is always useful. |

With the first man crush of 2014, the warpath selects, EARTHQUAKE! man you are making every excuse for the guy. he is the second coming of Darren Sproles or is it Sultan McCullough? |

Like another receiver the Redskins had.... Art Monk. Not saying he will ever be that good but he could end up being a good possession receiver. |
Re: Ryan Grant - Pick # 142 Overall
Seems to be a good comparison. Art was special though, he always made key plays at critical times. But it is definitely the role and player type that he could project to, for sure.
