Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
Woah he tested positive 10 times between Sept-Oct?? I hadn't heard that. Sheesh. Talk is cheap. Let's hope he gets his head right.

Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
I can't read the article but if he smoked pot once in August-Sept. and they tested him ten times between Sept. and Oct. wouldn't all his tests show up positive? I thought pot stayed in your system for up to a month. So the 10 positive tests shouldn't really be a suprise.
If he tested positive 10 times between Sept. 2010 and Oct. 2011, that would be really concerning. But 10 times in a 1 month span? Either way, he knows what he's gotta do now, so it's on him to stay clean and prove us wrong. |
Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
Weed typically stays in your system for 30 days, so if you repeatedly test someone during the course of a month of course there are going to be multiple positive results.

Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
I think we talked about this, didn't we? But anyway, thats overblown. The weed was still in his system so he was basically testing positive everyday for the same joint

It takes 30 days for marijuana to clear your system. If you test somebody a million times within 30 days since they were last used marijuana, they will come up positive a million times. How many times you fail a drug test for marijuana in a month is irrelevant. Trent may have smoked one blunt during that time period. Now if it was cocaine, then it would mean it's time for a vacation. |

Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
Do they test for the toxic drug that kills more people directly than all of the other drugs combined: alcohol? By the way Alcohol is finally categorized correctly as a dangerous toxic drug.
Link below list drugs ratio of fatal dose to effective dose. From least lethal (top) to most lethal (bottom). Amazingly cocaine is less lethal by ratio dose to effective dose than alcohol. Because alcohol is not illegal, that makes it ok. Drugs and Toxicity - The Daily Dish - The Atlantic |

He really needs to step it up this year, he is not a bust but he also not looking like he was deserving of his pick.

Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
Thc is stores in fat cells. The length that pot stays in your system is dependent upon how much water you drink, how much you sweat, and some other factors. A professional athlete who is working out and working on his craft should be able to get pot out of their urine in the matter of a couple of weeks. It is also dependent on how much you smoke. If he only smoked a joint then in reality it should not take 30 days to get it out of your system. If you are daily smoker it can take 30-45 days. BUT like I said before an athlete who has quit should be able to get their system clean quicker. Just my 2 cents.

Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
I personally think it is stupid that the NFL even test for pot. since pot would diminish your skill set not enhance it.
|
Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
If he smoked just once it's highly unlikely you'd test positive

Re: trent williams turning over a new leaf?
I see what you did with the thread title...very clever.
