That was a great read. Sounds like Pioli is one of those overbearing micro-managers who is constantly rubbing employees the wrong way. He's got a good track record, although one could say it hasn't been the same since he left Belichick and co. I've worked for someone like that before, and it's a pain in the ass. I hope all those staffers that got laid off or forcefully resigned, etc. all get new jobs elsewhere. |
Re: Anxiety at Arrowhead: Inside the Chiefs Organization
Holy Shit! That's about all I can say...lol I would have to kick Pioli square in the nuts followed by me telling him to consider that my resignation. No way I could or would ever work in a environment like that.
Is this why you hinted about Pioli perhaps "moving on"? That type of management doesn't work, as noted by their record and this article. Thanks for sharing this. Great insight. Would love to see one about the Skins. |
Re: Anxiety at Arrowhead: Inside the Chiefs Organization
Assuming that every word in this report is gospel truth, the atmosphere in the Chiefs' organization a month or so ago with Todd Haley there had to be more toxic than the Love Canal.
Haley's reputation around the league is that he can piss off the Pope in the morning and then get Ghandi to declare war on him by dinner time on the same day. Imagine the fun of living/working in those conditions... |
Re: Anxiety at Arrowhead: Inside the Chiefs Organization
Makes the Redskins under Snyder on his worst day sound like Club Med.

Re: Anxiety at Arrowhead: Inside the Chiefs Organization
I left a spelling error in the Super Happy Fun thread for a MONTH and no one even attempted to correct it. This is a perfect example of the lack of attention to detail this forum has demonstrated.
Hey you. Old guy. Yeah you're fired. |

I saw it. I feared I would be banned if I brought my discovery to light......WP screws are tough.

I worked for a boss very much like this. Never gave her a reason not to trust me. She was just a mean person. She would track your cell phone to ensure you were driving to your meetings. Send you emails at 10 pm and see if you answered them before the next work day. Just really crazy annoying stuff. The whole office hated her.

Re: Anxiety at Arrowhead: Inside the Chiefs Organization
Very surprising because Lamar Hunt didn't seem like he'd run a company that way. Don't know much about his son Clark. Bottom line is are you winning or not? Are you bringing in the right people or not? Since they're so hell bent on holding people accountable, perhaps Scott Pioli should look himself in the mirror. He's made some real questionable moves... hiring a coach that's crazy, and giving big money to a career back up QB.

Yeah I worked somewhere once where my seemingly innocent conversations in a co-worker's office were secretly recorded and relayed to my boss. |

Well my best buddy in the office knowing she was the way she was still went ahead and did one of the dumbest things I know to date. He was dating (his wife now) a girl from the Philippines, she had to go back for a year before getting her citizenship here. Well for about six months he would call her to wake her up every morning from his DESK PHONE! Of course Queen Bitch finally caught on to this and went back and audit his phone and made him pay her $5k in phone bills. Mind you that $5k is way over priced becasue she used the hotel's international rates (I worked for the big M at the time and our offices were located in the hotel) when she came up with the bill. He was wrong to do it but it was ridiculously what she charged him. |

Nothing like a micro-manager eh? Always an effective style of management. People love working for someone like that. |
Re: Anxiety at Arrowhead: Inside the Chiefs Organization
