Redskins notes: Will Landry be ready for the opener?
 

1. Strong safety [B]LaRon Landry[/B] said he still hopes to play in the season opener. But he admitted that he’s not really sure when he’ll be able to start practicing again thanks to his injured right hamstring. Landry said he was ready to return this week after missing the previous three weeks of camp because of his Achilles.

“I’m a little upset,” Landry said. “It happens. Better it happens now than going into the season. My Achilles is fine, I was ready to go. I couldn’t wait. Now I’ve just got to wait and see what happens.”
