Not suprised at all. But hey it's news |
Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
They won't release him, he's dreaming if he actually thinks that
|
Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
I agree I don't see them releasing him either.

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
Jeeze, does the drama ever end? I like you DMac and wished things had been better. But good luck having your way on this one after the comments made by your agent.

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
The fact that he is under contract until the first week of the season bodes very well for our chances of trading him. We probably can expect, at best a 3rd and at worst a 5th, assuming he is willing to take a pay cut. If he does not the Redskins will release him right at the last minute.
|
Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
Yeah, we will trade him. If they release him it'll be foolish. I would love to get a 3rd/5th from the Niners or Cardinals.
|
Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
No way the cardinals would be interested. Possibly The Vikings, but, barring injury, I don't see a big market for him. I'd say Oakland is the most likely destination, and only because al Davis is retarded.

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
Minnesota would be very interested, but I think a 3rd round pick might be the best we could do.

I would be happy with a 3rd rounder for him. |
Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
maybe we resigned him just to gain an additional draft pick in trade?

I would think so. Now it just depends on supply and demand to determine the quality of compensation that we get for him. Just have to hope demand is high. There are plenty of teams that will need a veteran QB next year. |

Why wouldnt Tennessee, SF or Minny be interested? I think a 4th is reasonable to hope for in a trade. No way he gets an outright release. |
Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
If he had gone the PC route and promised to "put in the time in the offseason" he might have gotten the release. Now, it's more of a VY thing. If he's released, it's right before opening weekend assuring that he doesn't know the new playbook thus screwing him and anyone picking him up for 2011.

Re: Source:McNabb to ask for release after season.
I would be stunned if we were able to get a 3rd round pick for McNabb.

I think that was a shrewd contractual move by Bruce Allen, don't you think? Vinny could have never been that creative or forward thinking. |
