Steelers' Safety Troy Polamalu Involved in Strange Sexual Assault Case Post-Gazette.com March 31, 2010 In the wake of many legal issues for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the past few weeks, more trouble has sprung up, but this time, it's not the Steelers player who is being accused. In this strange case, he's the accuser. The owner of a prominent Washington Redskins online forum, The Warpath has been named in a police report filed with the Latrobe, PA police department. The complaint was filed by the Pittsburgh Steelers' Troy Polamalu and accuses the website owner of sexual harassment and sexual assault. According to Polamalu, on Tuesday March 30, he had gone back to his hotel room after leaving the team's workout sessions at nearby St. Vincent College in Latrobe. When he walked into the rear door to sneak up the stairwell instead of going through the main lobby and attracting attention after a long work day, he was met by the unnamed man, wearing a Hunter Smith #3 Redskins jersey. Polamalu assumed it was an autograph seeker and although tired, greeted the "fan" with a smile and offered to sign something for him. The man instead began approaching Polamalu and made some lewd comments about the desire to pull the Safety's luxurious hair up in his hotel room. Troy began walking up the stairwell, away from the man and uttered "I don't need this right now." The accused then made a statement along the lines of "Oh but you're getting it anyways." and grabbed the football players' posterior. Polamalu slapped the man's hand away and proceeded to his room to call security. This small hotel in rural Latrobe did not an on-duty security guard, so local authorities were called and a report was filed. A search for the accused is being conducted and his website, The Warpath: Redskins Fan Site is being monitored by the FBI. Once his identity and location are confirmed, he will be detained for questioning. Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of the accused are to contact the Latrobe Police Department at (724) 537-5526.
Wow, this was post #6666 for me. |
