Thinking the Unthinkable...

Would LaVar Arrinigton's injury rehab have gone faster and/or more smoothly if his grievance had been settled?

Just asking...

:laughing-

SC where do you come up with these thoughts?

aehs77 11-04-2004 01:21 PM

lavar is not that kind of guy if he could be on the field he would

MTK 11-04-2004 01:32 PM

I don't think it's an issue at all. He was set to come back and he reinjured his knee.

SkinsRock 11-04-2004 01:41 PM

They keep postponing the arbitration hearing, so it probably won't even happen until the end of the season, or even after it's over.
The injury has NOTHING to do with it.

irish 11-04-2004 01:52 PM

I dont think so. In fact I think LA's desire to play was so great that he was stupid enough to challenge the trainers to physically keep him out of practice. They didnt, he practiced and as a result will miss 4 more games. This time LA's desire was not a good thing.

RedskinRat 11-04-2004 02:59 PM

Absolutely not, he's a warrior and just wants to play.

Riggo44 11-04-2004 03:20 PM

I would have to say NO!!!!! On that one. Arrington wants to play more then any one.

jbcjr14 11-04-2004 04:36 PM

SC, that's some crazy shizit!

PSUskinsfan11 11-04-2004 05:01 PM

I highly doubt this...LaVar has played through pain before...remember his knee was bothering him the first 2 games this season and I can remember him playing through knee sprains last year too.

illdefined 11-04-2004 06:19 PM

damn SC, thats too curmudgeony even for you.

celts32 11-04-2004 08:09 PM

Not a chance. Lavar wants to play...period.

Yeah that's a little over the top even for SC

Feeling a little extra grumpy are we, SC?

;)

Matty:

Last year Michael Vick took his own sweett time in rehab because he wanted to be certain that he did not make all those big incentives in future years of his contract "unattainable". He flushed away the season for himself and for the Falcons to assure that he was healthy. He was looking out for HIS financial interest first. Guess what. He's as much of a "warrior" as LaVar and LaVar is as much aware of the "business aspects" of the NFL as Vick. Notice, I'm paying LaVar an compliment here; I'm saying he is smart enough to put the long term into perspective with the short term.

So, it's not that far-fetched to ask the question. You won't hear anyone else ask it because the Washington media is too busy kissing the butts of anyone involved with the Redskins until such time as the Skins organization turns on them.

Obviously in the mind's eye of a fan, every Redskin starter is focused on one thing and one thing only and that is winning the next game. Well, maybe that isn't always the case and for those of you who are ready to pound on your keyboards that I'm an idiot, let me offer you the name ... Bruce Smith...

MTK 11-05-2004 07:57 PM

Fair enough, I just don't think it's very likely.
