Imports vs. Domestics - Cars NOT Beer
I'm sure some of you like cars, maybe some of you like Imports or Domestics, new and old, but I thought I would post this.
MIR (Maryland International Raceway) in Budds Creek, Maryland, holds the Imports vs Domestics event as their last event of the season. Cars show up from all over the country as well as countries, it's a huge turnout and you get to see lots of fast cars. I went there this past year, as I have since 2003 and thought I would share some footage I took from the event. I didn't stay till the end, but I got close to 20 minutes worth of footage, all racing nothing else. Hope you enjoy it! Part 1: [yt]XuMygZXjoa4[/yt] Part 2: [yt]uJktgaOFZ6k[/yt] |

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
LOL oh come on.

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
I definitely opened the thread with every intention of bashing American beer.

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
Haha sorry to spoil the moment fellas.

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
I clicked in thinking it was another beer thread, but was hoping it was a car thread.
Thanks, InsaneBoost! How insane is your boost? What do you have? |

If speaking mass-produced I'd probably agree. Not really into the racing scene.. never had the money or the desire to go faster than I needed to just get somewhere. |

Well back in the day my brother and I raced a turbo civic. It ran 20 on the street and 30 at the track. This was in 2003, so on a daily driven street Honda that was considered "insane." If you've heard of inlinePRO out of Springfield, Virginia, they built the car. |

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
It was the 2000 Civic Coupe. We ran the GSR, B18C1, built fairly well, but not fully. It would run high 10's at 130-136. It was pretty consistent. Obviously like the Hondas today it doesn't sound that impressive, but at the time it was one of the fastest in the country.
The car was stolen in January of 2004, we found it stripped and haven't done anything since then. Lot of time, money and effort just to go to waste. Re: Imports vs. Domestics
The fastest car I ever had was a Mazda RX7 which after we where done had around 275 HP. Never ran it on a track but always wanted to. Oh, and I also thought this was a beer thread.

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
Yes I thought this was a beer thread. Seeing that it's not, peace out!

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
A FWD drag car just looked retarded to me.
|
Re: Imports vs. Domestics
But when they beat up on the RWD cars it's entertaining.

Re: Imports vs. Domestics
