biggest concerns going into the new season:

I'm not sure if this topic has been brought up before lately, but I thought that I would start up a thread to discuss some areas of concern.

Something that has troubled me during the preseason is the inability to cover well in punt and kick-off coverages. Look for this to be a serious problem, and one that will no doubtably irritate Danny Smith, and us fans. But, it seemed too often that our special teams were allowing other teams to return a kick-off or punt around the 40 yard line. And most notably was the inability to make a first contact tackle.

Hopefully I'm wrong about this, and maybe what I saw was a faux problem.

Did anyone else see this, and what other areas of concerns do ye haveth?

The Oline if healthy will be fine, if someone goes down then yeah we have a problem.

I agree. Even the last punt return that New England had was successful because of a missed tackle by Marko Mithchell. Missed tackles are a major problem for the special teams and until we can start our drives near the 35 or 40 we will continue to rely on Portis and Moss to get us good field position.

Not worried about Oline

I'm definitely worried about kick/punt coverage. I'm worried about Samuels' health, because if he is ailing then so is the entire offense. If he can stay healthy then I will be less worried about the OL. I'm worried about punt returns. I'm worried about nickel and dime coverages.

And I'm also worried about how much of Eli will be left after the DL breaks him into pieces.

Our running game. I think we should of kept Aldridge for the change of pace back yeah i know he has the ocassional fumble but i think that could've been fixed. I'm a big CP supporter.

I guess the durability of the Redskin's receivers. I hope they can stay healthy, especially Kelly.

Re: biggest concerns going into the new season:

I think the running game is my biggest concern. I think given a good run game JC can make plays. No run game and JC struggles to be a playmaker and we don't score points. Just look at the 1st half of last year vs the 2nd half.

If we can run block consistently we're going to be successful.

Second concern is depth on the oline and depth in the LB and corner positions. Our depth doens't seem to be on the same level as other teams.

My biggest concern is that fans from other NFC East teams will stop visiting this site once we start kicking ass and I won't be able to stick it to them.
