Coles and his broken finger

If Coles has a broken finger and we have so much depth at receiver why can't we replace him for a few games with McCants or Jacobs.

he had a pretty nice game, over 100 yards, and i dont think that was a fumble either...

big c, maybe you should have your eye sight checked, or check the bias at the door. that was a fumble, no doubt!

i saw McCants on the sidelines early in the game. Was really dissapointed that he didn't see any time.

I'd like to see Jacobs get some more time.

or give thrash more time

Is it broken? I thought it was just dislocated. Either way I'll take my chances with Coles in the lineup.

d151b, oh no it wasn't. To be a fumble, it would have to be a completed pass, meaning Coles came down and maintained possession of the ball, before it was stripped, which he did NOT. Either way, it's irrelevant since we couldn't challenge it since we had no timeouts left...

I was also dissappointed to see DMac not get into the game.

He had two feet down and posession of the football.... you wouldn't be arguing this if it had happened to the other team.

No doubt Matty. That guy has been such a blessing for us. He's had a tough 2 games this year (against the Browns and Boys), but I'd be crying if we didn't have him. I definately think the finger is hurting his play. The only game last season where he disappointed me was in Week 2 against the G-Men. Other than that, he's our best wideout.

MTK 10-04-2004 05:07 PM

I thought it was a very close call with Coles' fumble. I'm not sure they had a angle that was definite enough to overturn the call.

That Guy 10-04-2004 08:02 PM

I also think it was incomplete...

and coles was 200% better before the toe thing... he's still a 1100+ yard WR with the funky toe, but man i wish he was 100%...

illdefined 10-04-2004 08:08 PM

with all the talent and coaches we have, we shouldnt be a timeout, field goal, coaches challenge, or questionable ref call or two away from winning ANY of these last 3 games. we should be dominating.
