Canton Finalists Named
Nice to see Russ in the mix again.....just don't like his odds. He very much so deserves to be inducted into the Hall, would love to see him get his fair due.
Just don't know that I like the odds. Hope I'm wrong. Re: Canton Finalists Named
Locks: Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, Shannon Sharpe.
Outside of those 3 might as well flip a coin. |
Re: Canton Finalists Named
So I guess the road trip to Canton is off this year??
|
Re: Canton Finalists Named
After putting two 'skins in last year, (one of which they had to be dragged into electing kicking and screaming) it's unlikely the committee will put any of them in this year unless they are a stone cold lock which Grimm is not or he would have been inducted already and sorry but I don't consider Bruce Smith a real Redskin...

Re: Canton Finalists Named
could you imagine Modell getting inducted? Modell in Canton in front of all those Browns fans. That'd be a sight to see

Man, last year's road trip wore me out but I had the time of my Redskin life. I say if beer had been served, we'd still be there cheering Art Monk. |

Amen to that. It was a truely awesome experience! |
Re: Canton Finalists Named
As long as Carter doesn't get in, I'm happy.

Re: Canton Finalists Named
Andre Reed's stats are better than Art Monk's stats in every category. Interesting that Monk got in before Reed...
Art Modell belongs in the HoF before Tagliabue does. Modell was one of the people that made the NFL/AFL merger work; he agreed to transfer his franchise to the far less popular AFC. Modell was also VERY important in the business of getting national and local TV coverage for every team. The mayor of Cleveland was as much to blame for the Browns leaving for Baltimore as was Art Modell. Claude Humphrey and Bob Hayes would be worthy inductees too. |

Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, Russ Grimm, Paul Tagliabue.
