T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
T.O. told Jim Rome via a phone conversation today, that "he welcomes playing against D. Hall again." And that the 2006 incident in which TO spit in Hall's face was "behind both of them." T.O. was fined $35,000 for that lovely gesture. He's such a POS! I hope someone on our "D" lights his ass up going across the middle Sunday night! (Oh wait does he even go across the middle anymore?) :nono:
Rome was making it sound as if Hall was going to be the starting CB lining up opposite Terrell come game time. I was under the impression Hall won't be needed to start and play big right away. In fact, he might start as the third corner in the Washington defense??? |
Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
hall will be the nickel CB at best, and the only chance he will have to face TO will be if we are in zone and TO goes all the way across the field in some kind of drag route.
Even then I doubt he will get a chance to cover TO, more to just tackle. |
Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
Hall's role depends upon Springs. Seems like Springs is coming back for this one, I'd expect him to draw the TO assignment given how well he did against him in round 1.
Though we've learned a lot about Rogers since then too; the dude is a top flight CB now, and I can see him handling TO just as well. Hall should be a nickel or situational guy. |
Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
This really won't be a matchup like everyone is thinking. The most Hall will play in this game is at nickle. If Hall is on TO for some reason i hope he knocks the crap out of him and just stands over him like ST used to do. Lol

if they don't get in there to romo, and JC gets beat around like he did the last game,TO's gonna have a record night and were gonna lose again!i really hope they look at this as a must win game because if we win, dallas is all but out of the playoffs this year.

Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
Skins cannot go with Hall covering Owens on a routine basis this week if they hope to win. Hall is a lot of talk - - but his teams don't seem to win all that often. He has been ushered out of Atlanta and Oakland; neither franchise is one of the NFL elite - - although Atlanta is doing much better since he left town.
When Sean Taylor played against Terrell Owens' teams I can't recall a load of times where Taylor was standing over a fallen TO in some kind of "conqueror posture". Did that happen more times than Owens getting into the Skins' end zone when Taylor was in the DB? I wonder... |

We beat them last time without a sack. |
Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
Some reason I remember Hall being burned all the time by TO. Hopefully Springs will play.

Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
Even if Springs doesn't play, then Rodgers can certainly cover TO, we saw that clearly. Still my concern is what Roy Williams brings, because we have not seen him on the field.

in Madden he starts.......period!!!

Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
ironically,
Hall may be more value to us as a nickle anyways. As nickles are usually covering the middle of the field, that is where interceptions happen. I do like Hall as a nickle because of this....I am definately not comfortable with the idea of Hall covering TO. I'm sure the Skins coaches aren't either. If I were the Cowboys, I'd move TO to the slot and hope Hall tried covering him as Hall has historically had issues covering TO....its because TO is so slippery with all that spitting he does. |

If you go watch a you tube highlight of ST you will see he put TO on his back many more times than 2. |

Spring-T.O.; Rogers-Williams; Smoot/Hall Nickel? And the more realistic situation, without Springs...who do you assign to Rogers and who do you assign to Smoot? |
Re: T.O. vs DeAngelo Hall......Round 2
TO said this in the dallas morning news.
T.O. doesn't seem too concerned about the Redskins signing DeAngelo Hall. Matter of fact, he hopes he sees Hall on the field Sunday. "At the rate he's playing, I'm looking forward to a big day," Owens told the Associated Press at his book signing today in New York. "I'm no stranger to playing against him. I've had success against him just as much as everybody else has, so if he's out there, I'm looking forward to playing him."
|
