Tough year for Skins' family

This was touched on by Adam Schefter in his online article but I wanted to expand on it here.
In January Coach Gibbs announced that his 2 year old grandson had leukimia. Kevin Mitchell died in April. Ann Litt (team's nutrionist) died suddenly in June. Shawn Springs dad is in a coma in critical condition. Reed Doughty's son is facing an uphill battle. Sean Taylor murdered. This doesn't include the tremendous amount of season-ending injuries that affect men's careers.
I know a Patriots player (don't remember his name) drowned this offseason, Denver had two players die in the offseason and Mike Nolan lost his father the other week. But wow, this team has faced so much in eleven months.

True enough, but I don't think it was a "Love Connection".

How is Gibbs' grandson doing? Haven't heard any updates on that in a while.

He's doing much better. He went through one tough round of chemo last year and he either just completed another round or was in the middle of it. I don't recall exactly, but last I heard he was very much improved.
