OK, I'll say it... (DE Depth)

Adam Schefter is reporting tha Courtney Brown has been cut by the Broncos. He's coming off an ACL tear, but was signed under a contract worth $745,000 with a signing bonus of $1.55 million. Even under today's guidelines of vast overpaying, he's a vet minimum guy.

Absolutely worth a tryout. When he is healthy he is not bad. Just cant stay healthy long enough to make the difference that is expected out of a former #1.

His career is over. He is coming off microfracture surgery, he will likely not play again.

Man, it seems like just yesterday when he, Lavar and Samuels were all eagerly awaiting for the Skins to call their name on draft day. I guess among the three we picked correctly. I'd support picking him up if he passes a physical, obviously.

That is the first thing I thought, until I read the part about he was let go because he couldn't pass a physical. Until he can, there is nothing to talk about. He is a guy like Springs (but way worse). If he could just stay healthy, he is a guy every team would want.

Not worth it, he's probably out of football for good now.

I'd rather look at younger guys than waste any time on this reject.

i'm normally up on anyone for vet min, but i'd pass here. if he can't pass a physical he can't get on the field.

Weren't we going after him last offseason? I guess its good that he didn't want to come here, cuz that would have been 3 guys that we wasted money on. We already have injury prone players on the team, we don't need another 1

Keep him out of Redskins Park. That guy is done.

No Way! Pass. We Have Enough Injury Problems To Overcome.

Wow, funny that this is even note worthy. Just goes to show you how bad our DE's are. This is yet more proof that anyone who thinks we need to take anything other than a DE in the first round is crazy.

For the record, if he could pass a physical, I'd say sure. But I doubt that will happen.
Remember that a league min. guy will not hit the salary cap figures. So it's worth a shot, but again, only if he can pass a physical. (unlikely)
