Joey T. Gotta' love him

Anybody hear Joe, on Mike and Mike this am and replayed on every show after. Basically, he described T.O. as the worst thing in professional sports. Not a very good reciever. Can't catch the ball anymore. Won't catch it over the middle. He says, hey TO, try catching thed ball, and maybe someone will want to throw it your way! Etc, etc. Priceless!

Owens is not a good wr, but he is exceptional after he catches the ball. That's why he's still in the NFL and why he gets paid ....well overpaid.
What bothers me is all the air time he gets. That's what he wants. Why does TO get 10-20 times more publicity than say Marvin Harrison. Harrison is twice-3 times the receiver!

You are SO right...T.O. is getting the air time because TV execs knows that most people eat up controversy and Harrison is not going to give them any where T.O. is giving them all that they need and more maybe because he knows that his skill are on the decline. T.O. is not dumb he is taking negatives and turning it into positives and making the big bucks while doing so.

Leads me to beleive that "suicide attempt" was all staged for the media.

If I have to that picture of TO from overhead winking at the camera again I'm going to :vomit:

I definitely think that he was after some air time

I do not think that he was suicidal I think that he and his assistant staged the whole incident...I think that they guy has mental issues that makes him crave attention

They probably will, unfortuately, they could end up going the Kelly, Reed route; lots of TD's with no Super Bowl ring to show for it. What would everyone's opinion be if that were to happen?

For me, it makes little difference. However, I were gonna build an organization, I'd probably take Montana, Rice if we're talking about greatest tandems.

i would also take Montana to rice. heck, i would even take young to rice over manning to Harrison because with me, the ring is definitely the thing

I love how TO says, sorry, if you don't throw me the ball early, I'm not making catches late. And It's YOUR fault coaches. And Roy Williams bumped me yo, that's why I dropped that ball. Nothing irks me more than when players don't make themselves accountable.

Nothing is ever his fault. Ever.

He's always the victim.

I'm so tired of it too. The guy is a joke and everyone knows it. He's playing himself right out of the league. At this point I'd be surprised if he gets a shot with another team once Dallas dumps him.

I'd take Young and Rice over Montana and Rice.
However, this is a team sport. Manning can't do it by himself. His defenses have notoriously sucked. You can't win without D. You can't blame Manning for that.
We all feel that Marino is the best qb of all time, or at least a top 3, but he's never won a SuperBowl. I don't think you're defined by a ring, you're defined by what you do to try to ge that ring. So I take nothing away from Manning / Harrison.
