Probably not top 5, but definitely top 10. We need a good defensive player for sure!

If Arizona goes on and wins, we're looking at #5-#7 right now.

I think we can take the Giants next week, so hopefully we'll do a little better than that. Of course, I guess losing that game would give us a top 5 pick, but I'd still much rather finish up at 6-10.

What about the Broncos trade? I know they beat the Bengals but their record is 9-6 - are they assured of being more than 10 slots from the Redskins even if we win next week and they lose?

That good - I hope we get Alan Branch to help the DL!

I know the secondary is in need of help, a linebacker would also do us some good as well because Holman is not the answer.

Maybe the Skins should take Alan Branch's teamate Leon Hall?

Either way we need anohter Defensive Line/End and a CB/Safety that specialize in coverage first / stopping the run second. I wish we had a couple more picks in the draft to address this but they are not available.

I would say the Skins should take a DL/defensive back with their 1st round pick and than address the other with a free agent.

Heck maybe do this - draft DL/DE with 1st pick, sign a top flight corner/ restructure Shawn Springs contract and keep him as a 3rd corner/safety?

With our reminaing picks hope we get lucky and draft as many LB's and hope one of them pans out.

I say we draft 3 fullbacks, and 2 quarterbacks...kidding, but honestly I wouldnt be surprised...I have a feeling I'm gonna be sick after the draft again

ONE good defensive player is not going to help our defense. I think that we should work on the defense via trades or free agency. Picking a defensive player high in the draft is too big of a gamble and we have no room to gamble.

We should sure up the offense with the one good pick that we have in the draft by getting a possession receiver because Campbell will be needing all the help that he can get next year.

I disagree, I don't think we need any more receivers. The offseason will do Jason good to work with what he has. People still don't realize that Campbell, unlike the majority of young QBs now leading their teams, basically jumped from being inactive to starting. In other words, the chemistry he has developed with the receiveres to date, has been on the fly and not necessarily a result of practicing with the first team.

As promising as Jason looks, wait until next year.

There is nothing wrong with disagreeing and I disagree with you

Jason was inactive for game play NOT practice. He actually practiced with the first string when Brunell's arm was cut and he practiced every practice this year, several with the first team.

Chemistry is NOT there when you complete only 3 passes for 27 yard to only 1 wide-out for a entire game and will not cut in the NFL

It's refreshing to hear someone say that instead of getting personal. Welcome to the board!

Prior to starting, he had a total of about 10 practices with the 1st stringers. It takes weeks for a seasoned QB to develop chemistry with a new WR. It could take months for a new QB who is also learning a very complex offensive system. I think we generally have the talent at WR, although I wouldn't mind seeing us take a late-round gamble on a big, possession-type receiver.

I agree, but I come to a different conclusion, which is that the chemistry can exist, but it's going to take some time, even into next year. I don't think we need changes at WR necessarily.

i dont understand why people keep wanting to make springs a safety. he is our best corner, when he plays. so if you make him a safety, then we need ANOTHER corner. i am not completely sold on carlos rogers. he has alot of maturing to do
