I like them but as with some bands now a days, a lot of their songs sound the same as each other ie same beats and whatnot.

The Deftones definitely rock my face off too, I love their White Pony c.d., i haven't gotten around to buying Minerva yet though.

Yeah big 311 fan here too, just saw them over the summer.

You can't go wrong with any Deftones CD, I'm really digging the new one. They can be a tough listen at first though, it took me a while to get hooked on them.
