Before you put blame on one player..

Let's put our suckiness in perspective. Our offensive line's pass protection is very inconsistent, so whoever our QB is, they're going to have a rough time. Secondly, with Portis being hurt off and on this year, our running game has been inconsistent. When you're running game is inconsistent, that naturally puts more pressure on the QB. Thirdly, Brunell hasn't played awful or horrible this year, but he hasn't played great. He's been inconsistent as well, and that INT he threw today should've never been thrown by a veteran QB. Overall, I just don't see Mark Brunell being a good fit in this offense. I think if we had just added Loyd and ARE, and had kept the simple Gibbs offense from a year ago, we would have been just fine. Saunder's playcalling works when all the parts are consistent, but it's very suspect when the players aren't executing.

The defense has surprised me the most. The poor tackling and shotty secondary play are not characteristics of a GW defense. Even though our secondary play can be attributed to injuries, there is no excuse for the poor tackling. What happened to swarming to the ball?

So I guess what I am saying is, it's everybody's fault. It's Gibbs's fault, Saunders' fault, Williams's fault, and every player who suits up to play for us. Benching one player isn't going to fix all of our problems, although at this point , there is no reason NOT to put Campbell in now. At least give him some experience.

Firing coaches isn't the answer. I think we need to work on our offensive line, and Williams needs to teach the defense how to tackle. Until either one of those happens, expect more shotty play from our team.

since when did benching one player become such a big deal? Archuleta benched. Bledsoe benched. it happens in the NFL. OFTEN.

but we have to change the entire team and coaches before we bench Brunell. wtf.

you said everybody is part of playing bad. but you can't exactly bench the coaches. or the entire defense or the entire offensive line. etc etc. you change what you can. Arch has already been benched, why hasn't Brunell?

Of course I said the whole team and coaches are to blame, but I never said to bench anybody OR to fire anybody.

I agree, it's been a team effort all year. We've had piss poor performances from all the units at some point. You win as a team and lose as one, and we are definitely losing as one right now. I can't name anyone on either side of the ball that's been consistently good all year.

Randle El..

I would also say Lloyd, seeing what he has done with the opportunities given to him...

this is kind of the same problem you have with the Brunell bashers in reverse. everyone is saying bench him, but i don't think anyone is saying it's ALL HIS FAULT. just seems that way.

Re: Before you put blame on one player..

I offensive line is the biggest problem.
They can't passprotect or run block.
Last weeks game, On the 4th and 1 play, dockery pulled to his right and met a linebacker in the hole. Dockery gets stood up by a guy 80lbs lighter than him and the guy makes the tackle.

Today, Brunell was running for his life as soon as he got the ball. Brunell is scared to get him. There was one play where samuels was blocking on a screen play. He was outfront with only a cornerback infront of him. He somehow misses the corner who ends up making a tackle preventing a big gain. I've been saying for years, Samuels is the most overrated player in the league. Unfortunately im only wrong because archuletta is the most overrated player in the league.

Our line needs to improve. I Hate Dockery and Samuels more than i hate brunell.

Regardless, Its time for JC. Lets see what he can do. We already know brunell cant do it.

Btw, That was vernon Fox on the field instead of archuleta. ADAM, VERNON FOX BEAT YOU OUT!

I blame the coaches who thought mb could get us to the sb. Its time for a change.

Re: Before you put blame on one player..

Momentum, confidence, and chemistry are a big deal. We lack these things right now, and that's a team quality. But good QB play can inspire the whole team to play better. He has the ball on every offensive sanp, and when he plays badly, everyone can see and loses confidence.

On D, even when they get a big stop, they know they'll be back out there in the same position (or worse) soon enough. It becomes tough to keep the fire going. And the big plays and lack of turnovers are completely demoralizing.

I put the blame on MB more than any other player, but I acknowledge that the whole team (from coaches to backup ST players) are preforming like dirt.

There's no magic bullet, but a QB change is in order at this point.

(Firing coaches is not the answer. We've got a good staff, but even a good staff can struggle. The only thing to do is to work through it.)

Again, that wasn't the point of the thread. Perhaps I'll use pictures the next time to help you understand what I was saying.

This is what said in my original statement. It is everybody's fault because we win as a team, and we lose as a team.
