Do you guys really think that play didn't deserve a little bit of a fine? Did you really think Daniels wouldn't get one? Gimme a break that was as automatic as T.O. saying something stupid every other time he opens his mouth. You know who Peyton Manning is right? Phillip Daniels uh not so much.

I think the main thing we should be concerned about is whether fining players will change their gameplay on the field.

I think it will not. 25K fines don't stop Portis from wearing socks, I doubt a 5k is gonna stop people from hitting hard/.

in baseball you appeal every fine and usually end up paying 10-25% of the original (announced) value. not sure how it works in the NFL though...
