Why dont we use the no-huddle?
I see alot of other teams using it to get themselves in a rythm early. It keeps the same defense on the feild and reduces their ability to blitz and change personel. I think we should come out in the hurry-up to start the game against Houston. It couls give our offense the spark they need. If MB still is gonna be our starter than give him a chance to make some plays and maybe even give him the liberty of calling a couple of plays on the fly? It might just be crazy enough to work?!!!

Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
The only true advantage to a no huddle offense is that it saves time on the clock, obviously, and doesn't allow the defense to substitute.
If you have a QB that's good at calling audibles at the line of scrimage and taking advantages of mis-matches, then it's a good thing. |
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
because we use a 700 page playbook and it takes Saunders way to long to flip through all those screen passes and off tackle runs. Duh!

Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
Do you think Gibbs ever takes over playcalling duties again?
|
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
Honestly, I think it's possible. I don't believe he's going to stand down and watch the offense run this way. No, he won't make Al step aside entirely, but I can see him getting more involved.
Also, I think he's going to start JC after the Houston game. |

Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
Let's just say, it wouldn't all together shock me.
If we get a repeat offensive performance like we have the past two weeks, get into a nail biter with the Texans at home....yeah, you betcha we could very well lose this game. I mean this is a team that had the Eagles on the ropes for a half of football just two weeks ago and unraveled toward the end. |

Also, I think he's going to start JC after the Houston game.
I disagree. Brunell will light up Houston... I'm even starting Brunell this week for fantasy (gasp). Brunell will be protected this week... I promise. |
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
because we can't even use regular huddle
|
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
Like I said, I will be more than happy to eat some Crow. I hope Brunell has plenty left in the tank, just for the record. I'm not rooting against him.
But feelings are, if he has a good game will it drag out the inevitable. |
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
I think that could backfire, and the offense would just have faster 3 and outs. If there's anything we don't need, its for the defense to go from being on the field 80% of the time to 99% of the time.

Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
they'll start running the no huddle eventually, but they have to learn the offense at regular speed first do'nt they???
|
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
its probably just getting comfortable with the offense, first. once( hopefully) it starts clicking, maybe then
|
Re: Why dont we use he no-huddle?
Because the other team seems to know more about our offense than we do. We'd only be hurting ourselves.
{sort of kidding...sort of} |

Did u watch their 1st 2 games? the secondary isn't stellar, but the front 7 is big, mean & fast. If Gibbs were to start JC, this would be the week. After reading jason la confora's skins insider today in WP, I believe Gibbs will stick w/Brunell until he looks HORRIBLE. Damn, now I'm essentially saying that if mb looks bad next week, we'll see JC against J'ville! Seriously though,I had a hunch that mb might get benched, but if what they say about JC's lack of command w/the plays (<MB) is true, we're stuck w/ the southpaw. |
