Dave Hutchinson, of the Star-Ledger, reports the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl"]New York Jets[/URL] are in discussions with the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/8/nfl"]Baltimore Ravens[/URL] to try to obtain Vanderbilt QB [URL="http://www.kffl.com/player/13538/nfl"]Jay Cutler[/URL] with the No. 13 overall draft choice, according to a person who has contact with several [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl"]NFL[/URL] teams. If Oregon DL [URL="http://www.kffl.com/player/13470/nfl"]Haloti Ngata[/URL] is available for the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/8/nfl"]Ravens[/URL] at No. 13, the deal will be off. If Ngata is gone, the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/8/nfl"]Ravens[/URL] would trade the No. 13 overall pick to the [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl"]Jets[/URL] in exchange for the No. 29 overall pick and the No. 35 overall pick. The [URL="http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl"]Jets[/URL] would then take Cutler with the No. 13 draft choice. However, the deal would be dead if Cutler is not available.



The lion could take a QB, they also like Huff
Eagles, Ravens, Dolphins all like S Moss
If the jets miss on cutler, they'd try to get K Clemens instead
R Bush will get a contract offer tomorrow from the texans






I guess the NY media has too much time and not enough to do. This one seems a bit more plausible at least.

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Stanford LB Jon Alston could draw interest at the top of the second round from the Oakland Raiders.

Don't worry. If the Raiders are interested in Alston, it's pretty much a given that he's going to suck. Al Davis has done nothing but ruin the Raider drafts in recent years.
