Today I met...
So today I was working. Just another normal day. Well that's until Taylor Jacobs walks in. Of course nobody even knew who he was except me and one of my co-workers. It was pretty cool. The man is a real chill guy. I work at Best Buy for those wondering haha. We got into talking bout football, Coach Gibbs, and where he expects to see himself in the future. Listening to him talk bout Gibbs was awesome! He was saying Gibbs has really helped him grow as a man and a football player. It was just really cool to actually just have a conversation with him. I really hope things start to work out for him here. I know its gonna be rough the wideouts on our team now.

Yeah even though we rip on him like no other, I feel bad for him sometimes, he just doesnt get chances to play, and he is injuried way too much. Maybe he could be like he was in college, but sadly he will not be getting much playing time this year, unless we start running 5-6WR formations. |
Re: Today I met...
Most of those guys are really decent, hard working, ambitious, good people. And all of them have more skill than I'l have in 100 lives. But this is the big league and he hasn't made the most of his opportunity.
I'm surprised he wasn't cut. The coaches must see something in him. Not surprised to hear that about Gibbs. It's been said many times before. Motivating his players is probably his greatest ability. |

I hope things work out for him as well. I think he has a lot of potential, he just has to use it. So far he hasn't done that, but i think he still can. Hopefully he gets a chance somewhere else and makes the most of it. |

lol nice one. he said he wanted to get out of his house. |
Re: Today I met...
Did you offer him a extended warranty?

Re: Today I met...
I actually think he's a better reciever than Randle El...things just haven't been going his way since he's been drafted.

Re: Today I met...
Wow. Jacobs still has those that will stand by him and defend him no matter what.
He might be a great guy. It's rare that any of us gets to catch a player to learn more about them as human beings. I don't think anyone would question his desire to succeed. Unfortunately, the guy cannot play football against professionals in the NFL. Depending upon what the best time is to cut him when it would be most beneficial to the cap, I'd be surprised to see him on the roster come September. |
Re: Today I met...
for the most part just about everyone on the skins roster is "a good guy",just so happens that jacobs is one of the few that "just cant play a lick"

Re: Today I met...
Taylor Jacobs had an unlimited opportunity to play last season. He blew it. He couldn't get off the line of scrimage against my mother! Until he gets some muscles and uses them, he wont be effective. Everyone watches game film, all they have to do it watch him get mushed at the line. trade him, for a towel boy. We may get better use of him.

That will be my lasting memory of Taylor Jacobs Redskins legacy. How anyone can defend him as an NFL player is beyond me, but I'm sure he's a nice guy. If he would just stop worrying about bruising his ovaries and play the game he'd actually be worth something to the team. |
